Canberra, A City by Design

The era of the national capital development commission, 1958-1989.

An ongoing mapping project by a research team from the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra

Always was, always will be

We recognise First Nations peoples as the first architects and builders. We appreciate their continuing work on Country from pre-invasion times to contemporary First Nations architects, and respect their rights to continue to care for Country.

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal people, traditional custodians of the lands on which the works on this map were built.
